Leaping Lizard, Shiraz 2007 Western Australia (Red)

This is a full bodied red wine, crimson in appearance with lifted black plums, dark berries, vanilla and spice to the nose. It has a fleshy sweet fruit palate of Satsuma plum, blackberries and vanilla oak, textured and rich with a long fine tannin finish. This wine will cellar for up to 5 years

Hugo, Unwooded Chardonnay, 2007, McLaren Vale (White)

The Hugo vineyards first planting were established in 1951, in the foothills above McLaren Vale. Conditions there are markedly cooler and ideal for premium grape production. This fresh full flavoured Chardonnay displays distinctive tropical fruit characters with a clean crisp finish.

Leconfield Syn Cuvee Blanc, Coonawarra (Sparkling)

A blend of Chardonnay (65%), Rousanne (18%) and Pinot Noir (6%) to give a light straw with attractive pale green colour. A clean fruit driven nose with delicate yeast overtones. Elegant soft fruit palate in a drier style, fresh picked peaches, vibrant pineapple and exotic tropical fruits, finishing with a clean acid finish.

Leaping Lizard, Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2009, Western Australia (White)

Coming from two prestigious regions of Western Australia - Margaret River and Frankland River - the Leaping Lizard is a medal-winning Semillon Sauvignon Blanc blend from highly regarded winemaker Vanessa Carsen. Vanessa, who normally plies her trade at the 5-star rated Ferngrove Estate, has made wines all over the world and uses her extensive knowledge to produce rich and interesting ‘personal’ wines under the now well established Leaping Lizard label. The Semillon Sauvignon Blanc blend is a wine style now becoming strongly associated with Western Australian winemaking, with the unique terroirs of the regions unleashing rich and distinctive flavours from the fruit. ‘A fresh and very grassy style’ writes James Halliday. Lifted tropical notes on the nose with citrus, kiwi fruit and honeydew melon. The fresh and flavoursome palate gives tropical fruits complemented by hints of gooseberry and fresh guava.
